On April 3, on the premises of the Jerusalem Patriarchy the meeting of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church with Patriarch Theophilus III of Jerusalem and other member of the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church of Jerusalem.
The parties discussed questions of present interest for the Orthodox world and touched upon the subject of beneficial influence of the Patriarchy of Jerusalem on the interconfessional life of modern society.
His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr thanked Patriarch Theophilus for the possibility to visit the Holy Land every year, provided for the numerous pilgrims from Ukraine.
In their turn the Patriarchate of Jerusalem highly estimated the archpastoral and socio-political activities that the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church carries out in the hard times of the so-called economical crisis.
By the way. On the eve of this meeting and with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr twelve big and twelve small lampads were given as present to the Patriarchy of Jerusalem, as a token of gratitude and respect.
Patriarch Theophilus III expressed his gratitude to the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the staff of the Kyiv Jewelry Plant with Valery Volovylk at the head of administration for the gifts.
