Orthodox priests serve the first Orthodox liturgy ever in Vietnam's Capital

Vladivostok, March 16, Interfax - Priests of Vladivostok diocese served the first Orthodox Divine Liturgy in history in Vietnam's capital Hanoi.

The service was held at the Russian Science and Cultural Center as part of the priests' visit to Vietnam made from March 5 through 12 by the blessing of Archbishop Veniamin of VladivostokVladivostok issue of Komsomolskaya Pravda daily reports.

The priests also conducted the service on the eve of Orthodoxy Sunday in Vung Tau. They celebrated the memorial service at the grave of eight sailors of the Russian cruiser Diana which had participated in the Russo-Japanese War.

The next trip of Orthodox priests to Vietnam is planned for Easter.
