Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II will hold a holy service dedicated to the celebration of the Day of the Arrival of Saint Nino to Georgia has been held the Monastery of St. George at Bodbe [which is nowadays nunnery and is one of the major pilgrimage sites in Georgia].As it is known, relics of the Saint Nino, the 4th-century female evangelist of Georgians, are shrined there.
According to data, in the fourth century, Saint Nino stepped on Georgian land and preached Christianity to Georgian people and in several years King Mirian declared Christianity as the state religion.
